Conceived in 2005, the vision of Garia was to produce, without compromise, the best golf car in the world. To achieve this goal Garia has teamed up with companies around the globe who are unsurpassed in their fields. The Garia is manufactured at the Valmet Automotive factory in Finland, where the Porsche Boxster and Porsche Cayman are built. The factory is also contracted by THINK and Fisker Automotive to manufacture environmentally friendly and innovative electric and hybrid cars. Dr. Heinrich Petra, who was responsible for establishing the MINI project for BMW, has been responsible for the production launch of The Garia with his team at Valmet Automotive.
The drive train is built by an Italian company that also produces Ducati gearboxes, and The Garia's built-in fridge is manufactured by the company that supplies similar systems to Bentley and Maybach. The aluminum profiles in the frame are made by the same manufacturer that supplies aluminum profiles to Aston Martin, Jaguar and Volvo.
